In 2023, we extended our support to Mundanda Primary School in Mutare, an under-resourced institution that lacked the necessary materials to provide an optimal learning experience. Our contributions included learning materials, stationery, and financial assistance, equipping students with the tools they need to excel academically.
But our dedication to education does not stop there. Over the years, BancABC has actively supported various schools, reinforcing our belief that knowledge is the foundation of progress. Healthcare is the foundation of a thriving society, and at BancABC, we recognize our responsibility to support medical institutions and vulnerable patients. In 2023, we took a proactive step in ensuring a more nurturing and uplifting environment for young patients at the Parirenyatwa Hospital paediatric ward. Childhood illness can be an overwhelming experience, but a compassionate and welcoming space can make all the difference. Through our refurbishment initiative, we repainted the walls to create a bright and cheerful atmosphere, donated essential items such as toys, stationery, and clothing, and enhanced the playroom, transforming it into a therapeutic space where children could engage in recreational activities that aid their recovery. Additionally, we replaced broken windows to improve the safety and comfort of the ward.
Our commitment to healthcare extends beyond one-off interventions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we stood in solidarity with frontline healthcare workers by donating critical medical supplies to Sally Mugabe Hospital and Edith Opperman Maternity Hospital in Mbare. We provided essential protective equipment—including sanitizers, surgical masks, disinfectants, gloves, and protective clothing—to ensure the safety of medical personnel and patients during a time of unprecedented crisis. These contributions were a testament to our unwavering support for public health and our determination to stand with those who dedicate their lives to saving others..

The elderly, in particular, require special attention and care, which is why, in 2021, BancABC stepped in to support the Bumhudzo Old People’s Home. One of the key challenges the institution faced was access to clean and reliable water, a basic necessity for daily living and hygiene. To address this, we rehabilitated the home’s borehole pump, ensuring that residents had a steady and sustainable water supply. Clean water is not just a resource; it is a lifeline, and through this initiative, we reaffirmed our commitment to improving the living conditions of the elderly and those in need.
