BancABC Engages Youth During Global Money Week 2025

Harare, Zimbabwe – March 2025 – BancABC marked Global Money Week 2025 (GMW) with a series of initiatives focused on empowering Zimbabwean youth through financial literacy.

As part of the celebrations, the bank organized a Job Shadowing Program with ten schools, including Gateway High School, Samuel Centenary High School, Heritage School, St. John’s College, and Vainona High School. Students gained valuable exposure to the banking industry, interacting with professionals and learning about banking operations, digital finance, and financial management.

Additionally, BancABC hosted a Quiz and Debate Competition for high school students, featuring engaging financial topics like “Is Cashless Banking the Future of Zimbabwe?” The quiz tested students’ knowledge on savings, digital banking, and financial security, while the debates showcased their public speaking skills and critical thinking.

All the teams received BancABC-branded merchandise and the top-performing school Heritage High school won a projector, encouraging them to continue exploring financial education.

These initiatives reflect BancABC’s commitment to fostering financial literacy and empowering the next generation of financial leaders in Zimbabwe.
